ഓഫീസില്‍ പലര്‍ക്കും ഇപ്പോള്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ വിശേഷം അറിയണം. ശ്രീ പദ്മനാഭ സ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ നിധി തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെയും കേരളത്തെയും ലോക പ്രശസ്തമാക്കിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകള്‍ ഈ നിധി ബ്രിടീഷുകാരില്‍ നിന്നും, നമ്മുടെ തന്നെ കരാള ഹസ്തങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും സംരക്ഷിച്ച രാജകുടുംബത്തെയും ക്ഷേത്ര സമിതിയെയും അഭിനനന്ദിക്കാതെ വയ്യ. ഇന്നത്തെ ഭരണ കര്‍ത്താക്കള്‍ ഈ ആത്മ സമര്‍പ്പണവും സുതാര്യതയും കണ്ടു പഠിക്കണം.
ത്യാഗരാജ സ്വാമികളുടെ പ്രശസ്തമായ ഒരു കീര്‍ത്തനം ഓര്‍മ്മ വരുന്നു.
നിധി ചാല സുഖമാ nidhi cāla sukhamā ( Is [possessing] wealth a greater pleasure?)
രാമുനി സന്നിധി സേവ സുഖമാ rāmuni sannidhi sēva sukhamā (or is service in Rama's presence a greater pleasure?)
നിജമുക പല്‍കു മനസാ nijamuga palku manasā (Answer me truthfully, O Mind!)
നിധി കണ്ടെത്തിയതിനു ശേഷം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലേക്ക് അഭൂതപൂര്‍വമായ തിരക്കാണ്. ഈ വാര്‍ത്ത കേട്ട് പദ്മനാഭനെ കാണാന്‍ വരുന്നവരെ നോക്കി തീര്‍ച്ചയായും സ്വാമി ചോദിക്കും... നിധി ചാല സുഖമാ...

"Chala" is the famous market at Fort, Trivandrum where you get anything and everything.
"Sukhama" is the pleasure derived from achieving something.
So the lines mean when you get hold of the "Nidhi", with "Chala" market nearby, go shopping there and then "Sukhama........."
